Above is a short video brought to you by Silk’n, the makers of the Sensepil. This video is a short 60 second commercial clip that they have put out on the Internet. I hope you enjoy!
After extensive testing to determine it’s safety the Silk’n Sensepil was approved by the FDA for use in the United States. It is consider to be an extremely safe product if used as directed and it was made with user safety in mind.
As with all products there are potential side effects that can occur. Most of these side affects however are rare and can be avoided by using the product as directed.
Some of the potential but non-serious side effects are listed below:
- Feeling of heat around the hair shaft
- Redness around the hair shaft
- Minor Swelling
For other side affects you will need to check out a Silk’n Sensepil user’s/owner’s manual. Unfortunately at this time we have not be able to located an online manual so we are not able to list anymore of the potential side effects.
If you have an owner’s manual we would love to hear from you with a full list of potential side effects.
We recently got the following question by email and wanted to address it in a very short and precise manner… The question was based around whether or not you could use the Silk’n SensEpil while pregnant.
I am 26 old woman married.. i have used silkn for four times and i can say that i am getting results but i want to continue using it for about 2 years as recommended.. the problem is that i am thinking to have a baby but in the instructions they said not to be used by pregnant women. i wonder why because all articles on the internet say that the light wont go deeper than the hair follicles and there is no risks on the fetus.. so i’m confused i want to get pregnant soon also i do not want to stop my sessions now.. by the way i have pale skin and dark body hair and i am using silk’n for all my body except my face and neck.. hope to send me details for my question..
The quick and easy answer to this question is NO! The Silk’n website very clearly states the following:
Certain conditions may prevent the use of Silk’n SensEpil temporarily. DO NOT USE Silk’n SensEpil if any of the following currently apply to you:
- If you are pregnant or nursing (lactating).
We are not sure of the reason why and it may be best to contact Silk’n for an explanation but we are sticking with the recommendation of not using the SensEpil while pregnant. After all you’ve had hair in unwanted areas for your whole lives can’t you just deal with it for another 9 months for the sake of your baby???
